Finding My Style – Bedroom Edition

outfit become a room

Well, I’ve been away for some time now.  Between doing the dishes and launching, life’s been a little busy.  But here I am, back with some spring inspiration.

Whenever spring rolls around I think of it as a fresh start.  Maybe it’s because the landscape is bare and I haven’t killed any of the flowers in my yard yet??  Whatever it is, every spring I start acting like a crazy pregnant woman who just wants to get everything ‘perfect.’  You know, perfect for all of those lady brunches I host so often.  I would say that a couple times a week I turn to Steve and say, “Let’s make a list of all of the things we want to change!  Then, we’ll prioritize the list!  Okay?!”  Being the nice guy he is, he humors me by handing me a pen and then not speaking while my mind dreams up projects that will never happen.

Well, I will tell you one project that will happen this summer.  My bedroom needs a lift.  It’s a sad mismatch of ikea dressers and a quilt from my mom’s linen closet.  I’m a lover of the color blue; always have been, always will be.  I found the picture of the outfit below on pinterest.  I love the look.. a balance between put-together (heels/blouse), and relaxed (sweater/jeans).  So I’m going with that look and have started a mood board to make it into a bedroom.  I don’t have a chair in the bedroom right now, and it’s driving me crazy.  I have always wanted a beautiful piece to dump my clothes on.
